WA3002G4 - WIRELESS |
Configuration - WA3002G4 (FLASH - Hands-on)
Before going in for configuration or changing password Assign IP Address to the NIC
Step-1: Open internet explorer, type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter.
Step-2: Type Username as admin and Password as admin and Click on OK button.
Step-3: Click on Advanced Setup on the Left hand side
Step-4: In the Wide Area Network (WAN) Setup page, you can see that the protocol is PPPoE against VPI/VCI - 0/35 (first row) and in all other rows, the protocol is Bridge. Click and put a check mark in all the check boxes in the Remove column (except the first row in which VPI/VCI is 0/35 and the protocol is PPPoE) and then Click on Remove button at the bottom of the page. Now all the lines except the first line will be deleted.
Step-5: Now Click on the Edit button in the last column of that row.
Step-6: In the ATM PVC Configuration page, scroll down and simply Click on Next Button.
Step-7: In the Connection Type page, Check whether PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE) Radio Button is selected. Click on Next Button.
Step-8: In the PPP Username and Password page, delete the default username and password (multiplay) and type the Username and Password as given by BSNL and scroll down the page. Click and put a check mark in Retry PPP password on authentication error checkbox. Check whether Bridge PPPoE Frames Between WAN and Local ports (Default Enabled) Check box is ticked. Click on Next Button.
Step-9: In the Network Address Translation Settings page, scroll down and click on Next Button.
Step-10: WAN Setup - Summary page will appear. Scroll down and Click on SAVE Button.
Step-11: On the left hand side, Click on Wireless.
Step-12: Wireless - Basic page will appear. Are you going to use wireless?
If Yes Click Here
If No Click Here
Step-13: Click on Enable Wireless Check box and remove the tick mark. (Disable wireless).
Step-14: Scroll down and click on Save/Apply button.
Step-15: After a few seconds Wireless - Basic page will appear again. Click on Management on the left hand side.
Step-16: Click on Save/Reboot under Management.
Step-17: Click on Save/Reboot button on the right hand side. DSL Router Reboot page will appear and will remain for 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes Device Info page will appear. Close the internet explorer. Wait for the lamps to settle and start browsing. You have successfully configured the WA3002G4 modem for non-wireless working..
Having configured the modem, go to internet protocol (TCP/IP) properties again and take off the IP Address assigned by selecting Obtain IP address automatically radio button.
Step-13: In the SSID Text box type a name with which your wireless network can be identified. (This can be your name or your organisations name)
Step-14: Scroll down and click on Save/Apply button.
Step-15: After a few seconds Wireless - Basic page will appear again. Click on Security on the left hand side.
Step-16: In the Wireless Security page on the right hand side, Click on the Network Authentication drop down list and select WPA-PSK. Now in the WPA Pre-Shared Key text box just below it, type a password (minimum 8 characters). The is going to be the keyword with which you can enter into the wireless network identified by the name given in the SSID field.
Step-17: Click on Save/Apply button.
Step-185: After a few seconds Wireless - Security page will appear again. Click on Management on the left hand side.
Step-16: Click on Save/Reboot under Management.
Step-17: Click on Save/Reboot button on the right hand side. DSL Router Reboot page will appear and will remain for 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes Device Info page will appear. Close the internet explorer. Wait for the lamps to settle and start browsing. You have successfully configured the WA3002G4 modem for Wireless working..
Having configured the modem, go to internet protocol (TCP/IP) properties again and take off the IP Address assigned by selecting Obtain IP address automatically radio button.
Changing the Password - WA3002G4 (FLASH - Hands-on)

Step-4: On the Right hand side, in the WAN Setup page, Click on the Edit button in the last column of the first row. (VPI/VCI 0/35 & Protocol - PPPoE)
Step-5: In the ATM PVC Configuration page, simply Click on Next Button.
Step-6: In the Connection Type page, Click on Next Button.
Step-7: In the PPP Username and Password page, delete the old password and type the New Password (the one you have changed in www.dataone.in site) and scroll down the page. Click on Next Button.
Step-8: In the Network Address Translation Settings page, scroll down and click on Next Button.
Step-9: WAN Setup - Summary page will appear. Click on SAVE Button
Step-10: Click on Management on the left hand side.
Step-16: Click on Save/Reboot under Management.
Step-17: Click on Save/Reboot button on the right hand side. DSL Router Reboot page will appear and will remain for 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes Device Info page will appear. Close the internet explorer. Wait for the lamps to settle and start browsing. You have successfully changed the password in the WA3002G4 modem.

Dialer Configuration - WA 3002G4 (Flash Hands-on)
Step-1: Open internet explorer, type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter.
Step-2: Type Username as admin and Password as admin and Click on OK button.
Step-3: Click on Advanced Setup on the Left hand side

Step-8: In the next screen (uncheck the check box below to disable this WAN service) simply click on Next button.
Step-9: WAN Setup - Summary page will appear. Click on SAVE Button
Step-10: Now the WAN Setup page will appear. Click on Management on the left hand side.
Step-11: Click on Save/Reboot under Management.
Step-12: Click on Save/Reboot button on the right hand side. DSL Router Reboot page will appear and will remain for 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes Device Info page will appear. Close the internet explorer. Wait for the lamps to settle and start browsing. Now the modem can be used in Bridge mode.
Having configured the modem for dialer working, go to
internet protocol (TCP/IP) properties again and take off the IP Address assigned by selecting Obtain IP address automatically radio button.
How to Restore modem to thefactory default settings? (Flash Hands-on)
Step-1: Open internet explorer, type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter.
Step-2: Type Username as admin and Password as admin and Click on OK button.
Step-3: In the Device Info page, Click on Management on the Left hand side.
Step-4: Click on Restore Default under it.
Step-5: Now on the Right hand side, Click on Restore Default Settings Button.
Step-6: Are you sure you want to restore factory default settings? message box will appear. Click on OK Button.
DSL Router Restore screen will appear and will remain for 2 minutes. Now the modem will reboot and will be restored to factory default settings.
Lamp Indication:
Power : Power LED will glow as soon as you switch on the modem.
DSL: DSL LED will blink first and then settle permanently in yellow, if the connectivity between the modem and the exchange broadband equipment is perfect and extablished.
Internet: Internet LED will glow when you are connected to the internet.
WLAN: WLAN LED will glow if wireless is enabled in your modem.
If the connectivity between your modem and computer is OK, two LEDs on either side of the LAN socket will glow in the back panel of your modem.
Splitter Connectivity

If the connections are interchanged in the splitter, the link will blink and will not become stable. (The wire coming from the exchange should be connected directly to the Line jack of the splitter. Modem should be connected to the Modem or ADSL jack of the splitter and Phone should be connected to the Phone jack of the splitter)
Please check whether you are using alengthy PVC wire from the modem to the splitter. (The wire from the modem to the splitter should not be more than 1-1/2 meters).
PLEASE NOTE: No telephone extension cabling is to beused to connect the modem to the splitter, as this was not designed to carry a broadband signal.
